Twelve, choreography of the Spanish Jorge Crecis that is part of the repertoire of Acosta Danza, has just won the Villanueva Prize awarded by the members of the Criticism and Scenic Research Section of the UNEAC to the best Cuban and foreign shows seen in our country in this year. The piece, which blurs the boundaries between dance and sports prowess, has been one of the most applauded in the company's recent seasons and international tours.
Along with Twelve, other shows by national companies such as Danza Contemporánea de Cuba, Compañía de Rosario Cárdenas, Trebol Teatro and El ciervo encantado were honored, along with foreign appearances seen during 2017 in Cuban theater halls.
