A great success has been obtained by the company Acosta Danza in its debut stage in the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria and Turkey. The audience and the specialized critics have applauded the presentations of the group led by Carlos Acosta, made up of works of different styles.

With the headline "Beg, borrow or steal a ticket for the exciting Cuban trip of Acosta," Laura Freeman of the Evening Standard newspaper praised the actions of the Cuban company. On The crossing over the Niagara of Marianela Boán, the journalist writes: "(The dancer) Carlos Luis Blanco makes Michelangelo's David look diminished. (...) Blanco and (Alejandro) Silva move in tandem, trembling with effort, fear and euphoria. You hold your breath, afraid that they will fall. Magnificent."

David Dougill in a commentary for The Sunday Times affirmed that Acosta Danza is "a new and admirable company, and when Acosta, accompanied his dancers to receive the affectionate ovation, he felt like a family"

For his part, the critic of dance of the newspaper The Telegraph, Mark Monaham, opined that Mermaid, the work of Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, is a "typically poetic and warm creation that unites Acosta himself (still surprisingly agile at 44) with another dancer magnificent and glamorous, Marta Ortega ".

For Monaham, this choreography "shows the two dancers with a surprising effect, being an important sample of Acosta's unparalleled abilities as a partner".

The British critic also defined Belles Lettres of Justin Peck as "another highlight, as a ray of light and color, very rare in a twilight program."

Monaham referred to Peck's work as "a modern ballet, of contemporary style, very artisanal, for eight couples and a perfect and content soloist, Mario Sergio Elías, wonderfully musical and docile ..."

The journalist Luke Jennings of The Guardian celebrated the choreography Imponderable, by Goyo Montero: "a work with an accurate and totally dark title in which the nine members of the cast spend a good part of their time mocking each other with smoke machines or moving with flashlights through the dark stage. However, there is a time when the clouds clear, the dancers abandon the accessories and begin a sequence of floor work in absolute harmony, moving and breathing as one person. "

Accomplishing the commitments of this tour, Acosta Danza was presented in Neuss, Germany, and in the Festspielhaus of the Austrian city of St. Pölten. The journalist Michaela Preiner commented on the characteristics of the show on the European Cultural News site: "With the election of four different choreographers, (Carlos Acosta) clearly demonstrates that he cares little for a uniform and recognizable dance language. On the contrary, he wants to show the widest possible range of dance performances on stage. (...) With this strategy, dance critics may have difficulties; however, the audience at the Festspielhaus St. Pölten was happy with this concept and thanked the evening with much applause. "

Back in the UK, Acosta Dance performed in the cities of Salford, Birmingham, Southampton, Brigthon. As "a debut to remember" the digital media Weekend Notes described the company's presentations at the Birmingham Hippodrome. According to the publication, Twelve, created by Jorge Crecis, "it's a fun game in which the cast demonstrates their athletic prowess by jumping, spinning and dancing while throwing and grabbing bottles of water. It must have been very well rehearsed because there were hardly any mistakes and the show was a constant act of juggling ".

On the other hand, Peter Jacobs in The Reviews Hub took stock of the company's Salford debut. About Imponderable, celebrates that offers the dancers "individual moments in the choreography that are then dragged to exciting group formations that make the most of the space. (...) The piece gives the soloist Julio León the opportunity to shine with his animal style, broken and brave. He is not afraid to mess up and that is beautiful. (...) The work is completely illuminated with high-luminosity hand-held lanterns, which creates a powerful visual spectacle, full of danger and intensity. "

The company has just performed in the city of Istanbul, Turkey, and is currently preparing for the last functions of the tour, in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, on November 10 and 11.

The British digital site Culture Whisper published a commentary in which the journalist Teresa Guerreiro described the presentations of the Cubans as "a vibrant and varied program" and defined it as a declaration of intentions, completely convincing. According to the critics, the show "Says, loud and clear:" Look at us! We can do anything with brio, technique and a wonderful joy of living ".
